Wauhatchie Woodlands
Timberroot’s original property has 27 rustic cabins and 4 custom homes at the base of Lookout Mountain, minutes from downtown Chattanooga. Relax in your private hot tub, then head out to the on-site playground, pickleball court, petting zoo, and Sprout General Store, with easy access to nearby adventures.
Lookout Mountain Inn
A romantic, garden-side bed and breakfast atop Lookout Mountain, with rooms, suites, and cottages sleeping 2–6. Several units have a private hot tub or jacuzzi, and every guest gets access to the shared pool, hot tub, and grill. Complimentary hot breakfast, made with farm-fresh ingredients, is served daily from 8–10 AM.
Quail Run Farm
Farm life with the comforts of home. Choose between converted grain-silo homes, tiny homes, cabins, and full farmhouses on a working regenerative farm. Most units come with a private hot tub and fire pit, and all have views worth waking up for. Go behind-the-scenes on a farm tour, or pick up fresh eggs and meat straight from the property for your own meals.
The Branch
A treehouse-style spa stay for two. Trade hallways for outdoor walkways. Find the bedroom, sitting room, and a private balcony upstairs, with a full kitchen, outdoor soaking tub and shower, and private cedar sauna downstairs. Guests have access to all of Wauhatchie Woodlands’ amenities and are just a short drive to downtown Chattanooga while still feeling worlds away in the trees.
Riverview Inn
A newly renovated, historic inn on Lookout Mountain with Tennessee River views from every room. Close to downtown, Ruby Falls, and Rock City, with a seasonal pool, hot tub, and a full complimentary breakfast spread served daily in the Skybox from 8:30–10 AM.
Treetop Hideaways
Whimsical treehouses across two locations near Chattanooga, each built with reclaimed materials, panoramic windows, and a private balcony. Experience what it feels like to sleep in a tree without sacrificing any modern conveniences.
Welcome Valley Village
A riverside retreat on the Ocoee River, built around six log cabins and a shared pavilion with a fire pit and grill. Built as a basecamp for all Ocoee adventures, from rafting to zip-lining.

This has been our 5th stay at Wauhatchie Woodlands. We love the cozy but modern way these little cabins are set up. There is so many things to do. Lots of trails to hike. Lots of sights to see. And if don’t mind driving an hour in either directions, there are more adventures near by. My youngest kids 12 & 14 are never disappointed and have chose the mountains over the beach ever since we started coming to visit 2 years ago
